My Friend

Got some bad news recently about a very special person that I know from work. She quit smoking a year before I did. I really couldn't believe she did it because she was such a good addict like me! When our facility went non smoking (very very non smoking) she and I would find the most clever ways to get around the smoke police. I was so proud of her and jealous that she could actually quit. Well I just found out that she has been diagnosed with lung Ca,smoking cessation, mets to the brain. She is no longer working and getting very agressive treatment as well. I did see her last week and oh my God,quit smoking, what a positive attitude this girl has. I can't get over her spirit. I don't know what I would do in her situation. Just to think that it was well over a year for her after she quit and she just celebrated her second anniversary and very excited about that. I can't help but think how devestated I would be yet I guess I don't know unless it did happen to me. I'm glad to see how well she is doing. She said she is not throwing in the towel yet. So guys pray for LIz and pray for me. I am praying for all of you! Love ya, paula
