WELCOME TANYAU

Joined: Thu Apr 09, 2009 10:03 am Hi to all the succesful ex-smokers in here and all those who are trying to become smoke freeBefore I start ranting, im 28female and have been smoking for 15 years, I have been trying to quit for the last five years and from Australia I am so determined to quit. After trying to quit for five years I am almost as fed up with trying to quit as I am with smoking. so this is it my last time for good. My reasons for quitting is everything associated with them. health,Herbal cigarettes, money, the dependence, my kids and all the rest of the horrible things that go with them. I am really fed up with being a smoker. I'm feeling so wired right now. I am using Champix (chatix) and will be quit in 4 days. so not smokefree just yet. I am having the worst insomnia. i haven't slept in 3 days. I am managing naps here and there, smoking cessation, luckily the tablets must also give me boundless energy too so im not overly tired. I hope this settles down. Feeling fairly agitated and I haven't even quit yet!!!!!!!!! My concentration level is at an all time low so i'll leave it at that for now. tanyau WELCOME TO THE BOARD TANYAU. It certainly sounds as though you are fed up with the smoking which is great. You do have to want to quit more than you want to smoke. Its time for your sticky quit. You can save enough to put your babies through college. I don’t have any experience with Chantix but have seen a lot of people on this board have great success with the medication. The insomnia is a bummer with or without Chantix its part of the withdrawal. Listen to your body. If you need rest then rest and if you get antsy take a walk. Read our Newbie Package and read the articles at www.whyquit.com. Please post pledge and SOS if you need help.
